Extravaganza Biography
.....In a musical galaxy far far far, far away, two friends with a penchant for tight harmonies and ridiculous haircuts are pensively strumming acoustic guitars, unaware of the significance to be born out of 3 shakey chords.
That was 1998, the dawn that time forgot. The year the Alex and Phil Extravaganza was born.
Starting out with their first band Instant Karma conceived during the matrimony of Beatles songs and doughnuts, the boys played together as Karma for several years.
Much gin and rocking later the boys now direct two bands within the Scenit Group, playing over 250 gigs between them in a 16 week period last winter.
In 2010 they formed a new band perfroming original music with a little help from their friends. A 5 piece, the new band Brando have finished recording their debut album released in late 2011 and is available from iTunes. Search: Brando + The Masterplan.
In 2003 Phil moved out of the UK to Zermatt, Switzerland, joining the Scenit Group (www.scenitgroup.com), a successful party band located in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
After a brief stretch at the University Of Surrey Penitentiary For Boys, Alex joined Phil and the Scenit Group in Zermatt in 2006...
From Waldshut, Germany, to Zurich, to the Cavern Club, Liverpool, Alex and Phil have now travelled extensively throughout Europe in search of musical extravagance... Their search was indeed successful my friends and now arrive back in the UK to present to you the acoustic and musical findings of many years travel and rocking together...!!
